Ordinary motion detection compares pixels. A cat, a branch, rain, headlights sweeping the wall — all of it is "motion". After a hundred false alarms in a week you turn the notifications off, and then you have no alerting at all.
Nobody watches a live feed. Cameras quietly became an evidence system: something you open afterwards, to work out what happened and who it was. Useful for a case. Useless at 02:47.

If you don't answer within about two minutes, your phone rings. Press 1 and it stands down for half an hour. Don't answer, and it rings again — up to three times as standard.
Everything is controlled by replying: ARM, DISARM, HOME, STATUS. There is no app to install.

Plainly: Jericho Mini is a notification service, not an armed response company. Nobody is dispatched to your property. It runs on your cameras, your power and your internet — none of which we control — so it works on a best-effort basis. What it does do is tell you, fast, with a picture, and keep telling you until you answer.
