That is what ordinary CCTV does — it records the night and waits for you to find it in the morning. Jericho Mini puts AI on the cameras you already own, so the moment a person steps into your yard your phone lights up with the photo. No reply? It rings you.
Works with your existing cameras · from R349/month · no lock-in
A quiet yard at 02:47. This is the hour your cameras are already recording — and nobody is watching.
Most security is sold on what it might prevent. Here is the boring, exact sequence — the same one that runs on our own house every night.
Not movement — a person. Every frame is analysed on the box inside your home. Wind, rain, moths on the lens and the neighbour's cat produce nothing at all.
Only what’s inside your drawn zone counts. The pavement outside stays unwatched — that is a POPIA rule, not a setting.
A WhatsApp with the actual photo, two seconds later. Three buttons: quiet this camera, quiet the whole property, or send help. An email with the same picture lands at the same moment.
Two minutes of silence and the phone rings. A voice tells you which camera and what it saw. Press 1 and everything stops — the camera rests for half an hour so it doesn't nag you again. A 👍 on the WhatsApp does the same thing.
With the optional escalation, we work down your list: your partner, your neighbour, your armed-response company. Each one hears what happened and where. Somebody is awake.
The whole night is a short list: what was seen, when, and who responded. Not four hours of footage to scrub through on a Sunday.
No app to install, no new login. It arrives in WhatsApp like a message from a person — and you answer it the same way.
1 · the alert, two seconds in
2 · you're in control, by reply
3 · we tell you when we can't help
Nothing gets replaced. The wiring, the recorder and the cameras all stay exactly where your installer put them.
Not sure which route suits you? We compared all four honestly — including armed response — in how to get alerts from the CCTV you already own.
Same product, seven different nights. Find the one that sounds like yours — each film is half a minute, with sound.
Cancel with 30 days' notice. Everything listed is included — there is no separate "monitoring fee" underneath. We install in the Cape Town metro only — every box is fitted in person, so we'd rather say where we actually are.

Every plan includes one person on the alert list. When someone is detected, that person gets the photo first. If they don't respond it passes to the next person, and then to a phone call — one at a time, so a single event doesn't wake the whole house. Add up to 3 more people to that chain from R87/month each. If you'd rather someone got every alert at the same moment you do, that's available for up to 2 people — it costs the same as your plan, because it doubles the messages we send.
Every plan alerts on up to 8 detections per camera per day — past that a camera rests itself and tells you why, because an alarm you learn to ignore has already failed. Emergency contacts: 2 included, up to 8, R39/month each — but pressing Send help is never charged and never limited, however often you need it. Extra cameras R149/month each on home plans, R179 on business plans. The box is R2 500 once-off and it's yours to keep — home plans are month-to-month with no minimum term. On a business plan, take a 12-month subscription and the box is included — nothing up front; it becomes yours once twelve months are paid. Prices are reviewed once a year and any increase is capped at 8%, with 30 days' notice. Fair use on routine detections: up to 10 alerts and 10 call-outs per camera per day, after which that camera rests itself for an hour and tells you why — a camera that alerts forty times a day is a camera you stop reading. Emergency help calls are never rationed — if you press help, we call, every time.
Security gets sold with a lot of noise. This is the same wording that appears in our contract.
AI on your existing cameras, notifying you by WhatsApp, email and phone when a person is detected in an area you chose — with the photo, and one button to call for help.
Nobody is dispatched to your property. We are a notification service working on a best-effort basis, on cameras, power and internet we don't control. Many customers keep armed response and add us in front of it.
Cameras unplugged, a covered lens, a dead line — detection stops. When that happens we tell you the site is offline, instead of letting you believe you're covered.
All analysis happens on the box inside your property. No video is uploaded, ever. Only stills of genuine detections are kept, for the days on your plan, then deleted automatically. What POPIA means for home cameras →
No. If your cameras are IP cameras, or run through a DVR/NVR that streams RTSP — which covers almost everything installed in the last decade — they will work. Our box finds them on your network and you enter the camera password once. You can check yours in ten minutes with VLC.
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. We watch and we notify; nobody is dispatched. Plenty of customers put their existing armed-response company on the help-button list, so one press reaches them with a photo already in hand. We compared what each actually costs.
The box sips power and runs off the same small UPS already keeping your router alive. If power or internet does go down, detection stops — and we message you to say the site is offline, so you always know where you stand. We wrote up the full picture, with the wattages.
No. The AI looks for people, and you draw the exact area of each camera that matters, so the street and pavement are excluded. If a camera does start alerting repeatedly it rests itself for an hour and tells you why — so you never learn to ignore your own alarm. Here's why ordinary motion alerts cry wolf.
Never. Every frame is analysed on the box in your home or business. Only a still image and a line of text are sent, and only when a person is actually detected.
Yes — from two people on Basic Home up to ten on Business Plus. Everyone gets the WhatsApp; you choose who gets phoned, and in what order.
Reply DISARM on WhatsApp, or tap it from the menu. There's a Home mode that watches the perimeter but leaves the inside alone, and night-only schedules so daytime traffic never disturbs you.
The Cape Town metro — from Blouberg and Durbanville through the City Bowl and Southern Suburbs down to Fish Hoek and Simon's Town, and across to Somerset West and the Strand. Every box is fitted and tested in person, so we only claim the area we can actually reach. If you're outside it, message us anyway — we keep a list, and it's what decides where we go next.
One visit, usually under an hour. We plug in the box, it discovers your cameras, we draw the watch areas with you, and we send a test alert to your phone before we leave — so you've seen it work before you pay for a month.
Send us a WhatsApp. Tell us what cameras you have — we'll say honestly whether they'll work, and quote you in the same chat.
